Happy birthday father

Today it is my dad´s birthday and on this very day I realized my dad and me have a lot of similar traits. We both prefer to live in the past than in the present, we are afraid of rejection, we suck at connecting names to faces (we can never recognize people), we do everything for the persons we love, we can be blinded by passion, we are easily disappointed.. but most of all we have similar ideas of how the world should operate and function. Thank you dad for giving me those values. And thank you for standing in the doorway, everyday gladly waving goodbye at me, while I head out into the world.
