Duoshoot
Dit was een voorbeeldfoto van hoe een shoot met een ander model zou moeten gaan. Na het zelf geprobeerd te hebben.. moet ik zeggen dat het echt supermoeilijk is om de juiste chemie te vinden tussen een volkomen "vreemdeling"/model dat je pas 5 min kent en jezelf. Het makkelijkst is om iemand te hebben waarmee ja al een connectie hebt in het dagelijks leven. Toen k bijv met mijn vriend ging shooten.. was alles heel natuurlijk. De foto's straalden ook meer passie/emoties uit. Veel mensen onderschatten het.. De juiste aantrekkingskracht, wat juist het mooie is aan duo foto's, is moeilijk te vinden.

AH reclame
Vandaag heb ik gefigureerd in de aankomende AH reclame. Het was een vermoeiende dag! We moesten 50 keer dezelfde takes overnieuw nemen. En volgens mij kom ik nog niet eens 1 sec in beeldxD. Gelukkig kregen we behalve vergoeding (uiteraard;]) eten en drinken gedurende de dag. Aan het eind kregen we zelfs een spannend rood doosje als bedankje. Dit bleek vreemd genoeg een paar pleisters te bevatten? Reclame komt eind feb uit. Look out for my 0.1 second of fame. Haha.

Pony
Wauw!! Voor het eerst in mijn leven heb ik een schuine pony zonder haarklemmetjes of behulp van een straightener. =D YAY haha dat wou ik even met jullie delen. xD

Mango's yummiee
Mijn fav fruit op dit moment zijn mango's!! OMEnn ik ben echt addicted. Gisteren net mijn laatste opgegeten.. Hmm zo nog even inkopen doen dan maar =D. Ik ben zo blij dat ik eindelijk iets heb gevonden dat super lekker is.. en ook nog eens gezond. Meestal blijft het maar bij chocolade, cruesli [zit heel veel suiker in], snoepjes en weetikveel allemaal. Maar mango's zijn ideal; ze bevatten veel vitamines, mineralen, anti-oxidanten. Daarbij hebben ze net als elk andere vrucht heel weining proteïne, vetten en calorieën. Maar wist je ook dat mango's tryptofaan bevatten? Tryptofaan is de uitgangsstof van serotine. Wat ook bekend staat als tatatatatatadaaaaaaa de "HAPPINESS-HORMOON". Dus iedereen eet een mango!! Lekker & gezond.. Win-win situatie, non?

Serious stuff
Een opstel dat ik in de 6e klas van de middelbare schreef. Het is in deze tijd nog steeds van toepassing. Vandaar ook dat ik het wel interessant vond om te posten.
Aids in Africa
"Poverty, and not HIV forms the background of the aids-epidemic in Africa." Especially in South-Africa aids seems unstoppable. By having this point of view, the president of South-Africa, Thabo Mbeki, received a lot of harsh critics and anger from international Aids-fighters, the gay community and the world health and development experts.
The South-African president follows the lead of John Duesberg, an American who claims that the direct link between HIV and aids does not exist. They do not seek for the cause in the virus, but look for it in the lifestyle and living conditions of the aids victims. This is in contrary with almost all aids-examiners since the 80’s. Mbeki’s different point of view caused anti-aids-campaigns to be halted. He accused the anti-aids-campaigns of being ‘Western weapons’. He pleads for an ‘African solution’ but does not find the aids-epidemic to be one of the top priorities of the country. This attitude caused the Mbeki-government to be partly guilty of the mass death among the African communities.
The situation in Africa worsens every day. Also in other continents the number of aids-infected people is rising. Facts show that carriers of the HIV-virus in the USA and in West Europe are increasing daily. Nevertheless: ninety present of the HIV-infected live in third world countries and two-third, about 25 million people, live in sub-Sahara Africa. It is believed that approximately halve of the 15-year old boys, in South-Africa, does not make it to his 25th birthday. Aids has even pushed aside malaria as the main cause of death in Africa. Yet African leaders act like there is no such thing as an epidemic going on.
We have to face the reality that Aids is not just a health issue problem. It is also a problem of development in Africa for this virus is indeed linked to poverty. Africa is underdeveloped; the government does not have enough money to create a decent infrastructure for public health care, to provide education or to hold prevention campaigns. The population barely has enough money to provide for themselves let alone pay for expensive medical treatments. Religious convictions, cultural factors, promiscuity and the unequal division between men and women form the recipe for a continental drama with HIV as heritable contamination source. Donor-organisations realize how much aids undermine the process of development in Africa. The active-economic-population decreases and according to the Worldbank and UNAids 15 to 20 percent of the wealth shall be wiped away. This will eventually lead to a negative spiral of economic regression, more poverty and the further spread of HIV.
In this perspective religious leaders, in countries were governments hesitate to start active prevention campaigns, take on an incomprehensive mentality. The Christian and Islam believe that condoms should be forbidden. They think condoms encourage promiscuity. This stands in the way of safe sex. In the mean while radical activist lay the blame for aids on the pharmaceutical industry. The medicines for slowing down the process of aids are extremely expensive. But even when prizes go down, the pills will remain unreachable for the poorest of people.
The question that we need to ask ourselves therefore is: how do we continue to fight Aids in the short and long term? African underdevelopment can not be broken through one day after another. The HIV-spread does have chances of being halted. But only money and medicine is not enough. Minimal necessities are drastic health-issue-campaigns to educate people about safe sex, big taboos and the relation between men and women. To achieve this help is needed from international organisations, social organisations, multinational institutions and the local government. Political leaders of Africa must fight for their country and must not give a false pretension of current affairs. Even with the right circumstances success is not guarantied and results will only be visible after a long period of time. Yet we have to stand strong and believe we can cure Aids.

SUNMI
NEEEE mimi gaat uit wonder girls? Hoe kan dit? WG was juist de reden waarom ik kpop in eerste instantie begon te luisteren. Het is wel begrijpelijk; hoe kan zo'n jong meisje zonder educatie ooit ergens anders een carriere opstarten? Haar droom mag nu wel zijn om een beroemde zangeres te worden, maar de kans dat het goed uitpakt om haar hele verdere leven te financieren is klein. MAAR MAAR waarom gingen ze ook naar Amerika? In korea deden ze het goed. Waarom zo'n grote risico nemen? Ja, oke risico's horen nou eenmaal bij het leven. Maar kom op wg in amerika? Dat wordt daar alleen maar geluisterd door teenyboppers. Niet mijn ideale publiek zou ik zeggen..

Updates
1. Wauw er zijn zoveel dingen gebeurt sinds begin december. Zoals de meesten van jullie hopelijk weten, ben ik met mijn vriendinnen naar Shanghai geweest. Dit was om (1) mijn zus te zien, (2) de andere kant van de wereld te bekijken, (3) om onze vriendschap te verdiepen en (4) om gewoon fun the hebben. Nu ik op de reis terug kijk, vind ik dat alle vier opties redelijk gelukt zijn. =) Terug aangekomen in Nederland, leek ons land daardoor ook in vergelijking met de Chineze wereldstad in het niet te vallen. Het is echt een ander manier van leven daar. Mijn voorkeur gaat natuurlijk wel uit naar NL omdat hier familie, liefde (Thang) en vrienden te vinden zijn. Maar het deed me wel denken aan om ook ergens anders een tijdelijk leven in me eentje op te bouwen. Afhankelijk van alleen mezelf. Zo zou ik mezelf goed kunnen leren kennen. Vandaar ook dat ik in mijn derde jaar van IBA op uitwisseling wil. Mijn voorkeuren gaan uit naar Japan, Zuid-Korea of Taiwan.
2. Ik ben al een klein jaartje bezig met het maken van een goed modellen portfolio. De foto's worden [ookalzegikhetzelf ;)] met elke shoot steeds beter. Dit komt waarschijnlijk door ervaring en doordat ik nu alleen met de betere fotogravers op tpf-basis werk. Maar ook al werden de foto's beter.. er leek geen versnelling in het modellenwerk te komen. Ik had af en toe een betaalde shoot maar daar hield het ook bij op. Hierdoor had ik er "geen zin meer in" en ben ik uiteindelijk gestopt. Het gekke in leven is, is dat ik een week nadat ik dat besluit had genomen meteen een opdracht via mijn modellenbureau kreeg. Hmm. Dat deed me toch echt wel mijn opties overwegen. Haha. Maargoed dat is wat er op dit moment in mijn gedachtes speelt.
